Drivers
Support for all of Windows XP 32-bit, Vista and Win7 32/64-bit with latest service packs. Windows Home Basic/Starter do not support multiple monitors. Not recommended for use with Mac (beta drivers only). GPL driver source on Linux and other platforms. Linux requires manual xorg.conf configuration - for advanced users only.
GPU Compatibility
On Windows Vista and Win7, virtual USB graphics makes use of your primary GPU, so is compatible only with systems with a single Intel, nVidia, ATI GPU running recent WDDM drivers.

I bought this product initially to attach a 2nd monitor to my laptop (MacBook Pro, running Windows 7). I simply plugged in and all the drivers came down from the internet, no need for the CD that came with it. Now I am using it for Network, Sound, USB & 2nd monitor. This means I plug a LOT less cables into my laptop :) I am really happy with it so far.

While I am relatively new to Windows 7 and that could be part of the reason for my terrific experience, I couldn't be more pleased with the Plugable docking station! I followed the simple (half sheet of paper instructions), plugged everything in (two printers, wireless keyboard and mouse, external hard drive, external speakers) and watched as Windows down loaded all the drivers and EVERYTHING WORKED!!! And I haven't had any problems since. I have had to set the sound card output once, but no big deal. And I have ordered a USB 5.1 speaker connection so I can set up my surround sound speakers again.
Overall, it's been a great experience and the Plugable is even more than i had expected. Highly recommend it.

And this one work great! Simple to configure on both Windows XP and Windows 7. Very plug-n-play. Just hook it up and it downloads the necessary drivers, then you're all set to go! I'm using it as docking station for three different laptops and we plug them in and out without any hassles. The video is very good. The quality is the same even better (because I have a very nice ASUS monitor) through this USB dock than on the laptops themselves. The video lag that some reviewers mentioned is very minimal. If you are a gamer, it might be more noticeable. For those of us working or just surfing the net, it's hardly even noticeable. My girlfriend didn't even know there was a miniscule lag until I mentioned it and she still doesn't see or feel it, so it's very minimal. I also have a keyboard and mouse permanently plugged into the dock and speakers/headset. All work flawlessly. For basic dock needs, it's highly recommended.
